We create a lot of content like product information, pictures, and videos, to promote and to expand the knowledge of Holex products: fresh cut flowers and greens. This article learns how you can share Holex content in the correct way.
The main channel where we publish this content is our website, and we also post content on our various social media accounts on Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Linkedin, and Pinterest.
We know that our customers – and their customers – really appreciate our content, and we are grateful for that! Flowers are one of the best things in the world, and our goal is to beautify the world with fresh flowers. We are more than happy if you too support that goal, and you want to spread Holex content.
How to Share Holex Content (Text, Pictures & Videos) in The Correct Way
There is one basic rule that you can always use, no matter which channel you are using. And that is: is Holex credited? We take a lot of effort to create all of this content, and it is only fair that you credit us for that, don’t you think?
Another important thing to remember: unless you have written permission, it is not allowed to adjust texts, images, and/or videos in any way, for any channel (take a look at our disclaimer here). For example:
- It is not allowed to use texts published by Holex without referring to Holex as the source
- It is not allowed to edit pictures (resize, remove the Holex corner/logo or pay-off, add your own logo) and to use them
without referring to Holex as the source
- It is not allowed to edit videos (edit, resize, remove the Holex corner/logo or pay-off, add your own logo and/or pay-off)
and to use them without referring to Holex as the source

How to Share Holex Website/Blog Post Content
Duplicate content is a problem for search engines like Google. If similar content appears at multiple locations on the web, search engines will not know which URL to show in the search results.
When you duplicate content from the Holex website, it can hurt the ranking of the Holex website, and the problem gets worse when people start linking to the different versions of the same content (including linking from Social Media).
If you wish to copy content from the Holex website, you will need to add a “canonical” URL to your web post which will point the search engines at the original source of the content.
The rel=canonical element is an HTML element on your web page that helps prevent duplicate content issues. It does this by specifying the original source URL of a web page.
Place the HTML element in the head section of a webpage like shown here:
<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <link rel="canonical" href="https://www.holex.com/destination-page/" /> </head> <body> </body> </html>
<link rel="canonical" href="https://www.holex.com/flowerwiki/euphorbia/" />
If you are using a CMS (Content Managemens System) to post on your website, often the feature to add a canonical URL to your post is already integrated or can easily be made available by installing a free plugin.
One of the plugins we recommend is the “Yoast SEO” plugin. This plugin also helps you improve your SEO. Alternatively, you can also find other simple (and often free) plugins which only add the option to add a canonical URL to your web pages.
If you do not yet have this available, please ask your webmaster to make this possible for you.
The method above is preferred, but if you can’t do any of the above, adding a link back to the original article on top of or below the article is always a good idea. If Google encounters several links pointing to the original article, it will figure out soon enough that that’s the actual canonical version.
